What are the library's hours?

Answer

The Souvay Memorial Library is open to Kenrick patrons (faculty, staff, seminarians, and resident priests) every day from 7 am to 10 pm as a house library and study hall.  Service hours may vary, however:

  • During the academic year (roughly mid-August to mid-December, and mid-January to mid-May), the library office is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
  • For evenings and weekends in the academic year, we have a student-staffed desk available for book checkouts and basic questions.  Please consult our website (library.kenrick.edu) for details.

Visiting hours for non-Kenrick patrons are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3 pm.  Outside patrons are strongly encouraged to contact the library in advance to set up an appointment.

  • The library office and circulation desk will have variable hours based on holidays and events and during inter-session periods of the year (i.e., during the summer and in January).
  • For the latest information, please consult our website, including "What's New" posts.
